When people asked him if he was any closer to returning to the football field, Rivers would shrug his shoulders and simply say, "I don’t know." There was a time not long ago that the senior from Wadesboro, N.C., was unsure if he’d ever get back to playing linebacker for the Hokies. He’s more confident now.
